Lily and Alek’s story began at Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas, where they were both playing collegiate soccer. One day in the common area on campus, Lily was playing ping pong with a group of friends when Alek walked by and noticed her. Their eyes met, and in that moment Lily could already tell he was interested.

Alek came over and asked if he could play. Lily, loudly and screamingly, told him he would have to wait because she was next! That is when Alek knew, she was into him too! Before long, they found themselves playing against each other and Alek won. After the game, they started talking, and Alek quickly asked Lily out on a date.

Living in a small town like Snyder meant there weren’t many restaurant options, or none at all! so their very first date was at McDonald’s. What might have seemed like a bad or simple date, turned out to be a perfect one. They talked for hours without ever getting bored, and it felt like they had known each other forever. It truly felt like love at first sight, and within just two weeks, they both knew their connection was something special.

One of their early dates included a trip to the lake in Snyder. In an attempt to impress Lily, Alek decided to do a donut in his little orange Chevy but it didn’t quite go as planned, and he ended up driving into a ditch! It’s a memory they still laugh about to this day.

Years later, 7 to be precise! But who is counting? Alek planned the perfect surprise proposal in Cancun. On a beautiful beach, with a romantic setup, he got down on one knee and asked Lily to marry him. It was a magical moment neither of them will ever forget.

Today, Lily and Alek love spending time together going on road trips, playing soccer, card games, trying new restaurants, and making great memories with their friends and families. They’ve also added two very special members to their little family, two cats named Stitch and Angel.

Alek loves Lily’s beautiful smile and her incredibly big heart, and Lily loves Alek’s beard and the thoughtfulness he shows every day. What started with a game of ping pong in a college common area, has grown into a lifetime of love, laughter, and countless adventures together. Now, they are eager to see what the future holds for them as newlyweds!
